HPC-Cluster bonna

A small HPC-cluster called bonna is available to scientists since 2019. It is maintained and supported mainly by the Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing SCAI.


Technical details:

Peak Performance:  1,5 * 10^14 operations per second (150 TFlop/s)


70 Compute Nodes:

  • total # cores = 2240
  • # sockets / node = 2
  • # cores / socket = 16
  • total RAM = 13.4 TB
  • RAM / node = 192 GB
  • RAM / core = 6 GB
  • Local SSDs: 2x480GB SSD Raid1
  • Network Connections: Omnipath Full Bisection Fat Tree

Storage:

  • scratch storage = 428 TB
  • additional node-local SSD scratch = 2 TB / node

Installed Software:

  • Batch System: slurm
