DESCRIPTION:In this course\, you will learn about the following topics:\n
 \n- Using the command line\n- The ideas behind concepts like users\, files
 \, processes and permissions\n- Navigating the Linux directory structure\n
 - Handling text and other files from the console\n- The vim text editor\n-
  A brief introduction automating tasks with shell scripting\n\nAlthough th
 is course is open to everyone\, it is primarily geared towards cluster use
 rs. That means that neither Graphical User Interfaces nor topics that requ
 ire root access (e.g. installation\, administration) are covered. All topi
 cs covered are distro-independent.\n\nNo prior knowledge is necessary. It 
 is also not necessary to have cluster access beforehand.\n\nRegistration h
 appens via eCampus. The course may be held more than once\, depending on p
 resenter availability and number of registrations.\n\nIMPORTANT: after reg
 istering\, you MUST JOIN ONE OF THE GROUPS (currently there is only one).
